Duplex stainless steel sheets/ plates contain relatively high levels of chromium content between 18% -28% and it has a moderate amount of nickel content in between 1.5% to 8%. It has excellent mechanical properties that are achieved by the desired chemical composition. Approximately, it has an adequate amount of austenite and ferrite. The corrosion resistance rate of this alloy id good, because of its chromium content it offers great service in the chemical processing environments such as acetic acids, phosphoric acids, nitric acids, and other organic and inorganic compounds.

These sheets and plates have good performance rating in the local and general corrosive environments. It offers great service in the higher temperatures without any distortion and elongation. It also possesses good machinability, fabricability, and formability, etc. Duplex grade is weldable by standard welding operations such as tig, mig and other resistance welding. These are rolled out from both hot and cold working operations. It is also processed from metal treatment operations to attain desired mechanical attributes and properties. It is available for both magnetic and non-magnetic structure.
