The angles are made using different category of SS grade among which 202 has low nickel
content. The low amount of nickel induces several properties to the angles that make it
a perfect product and alternative to 304 products in food and kitchenware field
applications. However, both grades have similar mechanical properties. UNS S20200 angles
although have less toughness, lower corrosion resistant properties in chloride
environment due to low nickel content.

The manganese content is also less in SS202 angles. The nickel is generally as low as
4 percent; manganese is only about 8 percent, whereas chromium content lies between
16-18 percent. This Cr-Ni-Mn steel shares similar properties with SUS 302/A240
steel. Magnetic testing cannot differentiate the type of angles because of being
non-magnetic. But, their inexpensiveness makes it useful in automobile trim, indoor
fabrication and atmosphere is not a big concern.

properties such as precipitation hardening, high hardness, toughness, good corrosion

series.

The manufacturing process of Stainless Steel 202 Angle
Long and gummy chips are produced through machinability of this grade which
is performed in annealing. The heat treatment of angles takes place by soaking the
metal for 30 minutes in 1900 degree F or 1038 degree C. It is then cooled so that it
gets transformed into full martensite at a temperature below 16 degrees C or 60
degrees F. Oxyacetylene method is not used for welding. AWS E/ER630 is the
recommended metal to be used as filler for the welding operation. No forging is done
at a temperature below 1010 degree C. Our experts know that forging should be done
at 1177 degree C after soaking metal for 1 hour at the same temperature.
We conduct all process at the designated temperature so that complete properties are
