UNS N08904 is known as non stabilized austenitic grade. It has low carbon composition.
Also, it has some content of copper which improves its resistance to chemical exposures
from moderate to concentric chemicals. It has higher resistivity to a stress corrosion
cracking (SSC). Importantly, this grade is non-magnetic in nature. It has great
weldability, toughness, and machinability. 904L grade also has a moderate composition of
molybdenum and nickel.

UNS N08904 is treated in temperature between 850 deg C to 1150 deg C. at the same
temperature it is processed from, hot working temperatures. After hot working
operations, it is followed by solution annealing operations. As it is lower carbon
version it is not preferred for temperatures above 1100 deg C. after heat treatment
it is quenched. The necessary cooling is done for avoiding hot cracking.
SS 1.4539 UNS N08904 Sheets plates coils are the best alternative of

hot sea waters and chloride containing zones. UNS N08904 has a higher resistance to
