UNS S43000 has excellent stress corrosion and cracking resistance. It has good corrosion resistance to numerous substances. The corrosion resistance in grade 430 is maximized in well-polished or buffed conditions. SS430 has excellent pitting and crevice corrosion resistance, similar to the grade of 304. This grade has a low ductility rate, making it difficult to perform various operations.
